Church Based After School Programs: A 6th Grade Leadership Plan

Are you equipping your kids to lead? What are you doing? Here is one plan used at a center.

SIXTH GRADE LEADERSHIP PLAN

PHASE 1 – help decide what snacks we will have for one week

(no more than 4 late assignments for two weeks in a row, participate in at least 2 class discussions two weeks in a row. All late work must be turned in before the phase prize can be awarded.)

PHASE 2 – choose recreation for Mondays and Fridays for two weeks

( no more than 3 late assignments for three weeks in a row, participate in at least 3 class discussions for 3 weeks in a row. All late work must be turned in before the phase prize can be awarded.)

 PHASE 3 – help run Bible Focus on Fridays – 3 weeks

(no more than 2 late assignment for 4 weeks in a row, participate in at least 4 class discussions for 4 weeks in a row. All late work must be turned in before the phase prize can be awarded.)

 PHASE 4 – recreation leader for one month

(no more than one l late assignment for 5 weeks in a row, participate in at least 5 class discussions for 5 weeks in a row. All late work must be turned in before the phase prize can be awarded.)

PHASE 5 – Group activity leader

(no late assignments for 4 weeks in a row. Regular class participation.)

PHASE 6 – 6th grade trip

(no late assignments, regular class participation, no grade below a C)
